Bounty Hunter, The (2010)
The two leads work well off each other but its undemanding fare.
Battleship Potemkin (1925)
As well as its well deserved fame for editing the musical score by Edmund Meisel is outstanding. Odessa harbour looks beautiful. The intertitles help the pace of the story telling and maybe should be used by more film makers.
Wild China (TV Mini-Series) (2008)
Top notch documentary – quality all the way through.
Legendary Weapons of China (1982)
Entertaining with plenty of variety in the kung fu department.
Where the Boys Are (1960)
Not as bad as it looks but the scenes where its girls only are the best plus those with Barbara Nichols.
Strangerland (2015)
Considering the quality casting this was a disappointment – the acting was fine except the script required too many hysterics. Routine plot but the locations are outstanding at times.
Other Boleyn Girl, The (2008)
Excepting the costumes and the quality casting of the support roles this doesn't amount to much – it often gets bogged down by its own importance.
Ninja Assassin (2009)
Just another ninja assassin film with ketchup on top.
Fastest Gun Alive, The (1956)
An intelligent western with the emphasis on the characters rather than the body count. Includes the great Broderick Crawford and an excellent dance routine from Russ Tamblyn.
Something to Talk About (1995)
The plot idea is not exactly earth shattering but there is some interest in two really good actors in Gena Rowlands and Robert Duvall.
