Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)
Might be appreciated more by those who haven't seen the previous editions – otherwise its basically an action film.
Blue Murder (TV Series) (2003)
Series 1 & 2 – rates well against Helen Mirren and "Prime Suspect".
Hell and High Water (1954)
Having a woman on a sub is just silly distraction. The sub looked spacious at times – it needed to be as most of the crew were smoking. The odd good moment.
Prince of the City (1981)
Hard work but worthwhile.
Under the Tuscan Sun (2003)
Diane Lane is very good and Lindsay Duncan refreshing. A bit heavy on the romance unfortunately.
Conduct Unbecoming (1975)
Pretty useful cast – interesting casting of Stacy Keach – the military posturing is captured quite well.
Sound of Music, The (1965)
Pure Hollywood.Best scenes are the opening one before Julie strides into the picture and the final one when the humans have pushed off. Some of the songs are mushy and are not R & H's best. The plot has too many flat bits. Salzburg looks great though.
Draft Day (2014)
Short for a Costner film. Some interest in "how things work" behind the scenes of the draft system. Useful support casting.
Where Do We Go Now? (2011)
Delightful – unforgettable opening scene. This is the way to tackle religious differences – keep the men out of it and leave it to the women.
Savannah (2013)
The highlight is the savannah but the plot and characters are entertaining enough.
