Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (TV Series)

Aroview: Popular T V serialisation of the 'Superman' story, with Cain playing the superhero who doubles as meek journalist Clark Kent, and Hatcher playing his romantic interest at the 'Daily Planet' newspaper, Lois Lane.

Initially attempting to integrate serious (although hardly violent) action plotlines with its neverending romantic plotline, this succeeding in reinventing the franchise in a mildly ironic 1990s guise, with numerous nods to the office comedies of the era. By general consensus, Season 1 was the best of the series; after this, an overly camp comic formula predominated and public interest waned.
