Aroview: Set in the year 2020, this dystopian thriller adapts Alan Moore's graphic novel about a world where deadly viruses have wiped out most of America and Britain is held in the iron grip of a totalitarian state, which in true Orwellian fashion issues fake news reports, propaganda and torture regimes for disbelievers.
As a saviour of truth, the mysterious masked 'V' (Weaving) haunts the foggy streets of London spreading his own brand of anarchy and terrorism and seemingly immune to capture, while a reporter (Portman) becomes involved with uncovering his drastic plan to revive the explosive tradition of Guy Fawkes. Scripted by the Wachowskis this presents a similar half-muddle of ideas to THE MATRIX, but also boasts a convincing visual flash and polish to match its moral pessimism.

4 stars (Very Good) As with the first Matrix, the Wachowski Brothers have penned an impressively deep and stylistic action flick. Hire it and remember remember this 5th of November. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) Super stylish as well as intelligent, this is an action film that is a cut above the rest. ~Wizzums
3 stars (Good Enough) Natalie is a bit on the light side for this quality cast but as there are no great acting requirements she gets away with it. Hugo Weaving's mask is annoying - he doesn't really need one anyway. The bloodletting is amateurish. ~Tubbs
