Aroview: Little-known but extremely worthwhile drama lays out several major storylines, but centres on the struggles of a former Serbian soldier trying to adjust to life on the streets of New York City, where he has been blackmailed into becoming a hitman.

At the start of the film, a drug deal goes badly wrong and with it the ghosts of the past begin to resurface in a complicated dance of luck, blame and retribution. With dir. Nikolic using multiple timelines and spurts of racy action, this is an elegant - if rather clinical - lesson in how technique can be used to refelct moral themes.
