Reign Over Me

Aroview: Soulful human drama that examines the channeling of grief and the need for outlets, with Adam Sandler playing it straight as a man who lost his family in 9/11.

Bumping in to his old college roommate (Cheadle) allows him to begin coming out of his shell(-shock). While not all of the subplots seem entirely necessary this is heartfelt film journey with strong characterisations from the leads and a feel-good sentiment that is not too sickly sweet.
