Spectacular!

Aroview: Hardly spectacular but decent showbiz musical based around a high school 'show choir' who recruit a reluctant wannabe rocker to help them win a national competition.

Directly influenced by the runaway success of Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICALs, this Nickelodeon channel production lacks its mentor's infectious tunes and all round polish, but has an underdog charm carried by Nolan Gerard Funk, whose cool guy rocker is convincingly embarrassed to show his "jazz hands". Despite a decently self-aware script, this is perhaps one for modern musical diehards.
