Eastbound and Down (TV Series)
Aroview: Ball-busting HBO comedy from the talents behind PINEAPPLE EXPRESS stars loutish Danny McBride as a washed-up major league pitcher, whose latest career nadir has him teaching gym class to a bunch of spotty middle-schoolers.
Best described as a 'douche-bag' sitcom, this will instantly appeal to fans of the excruciating humour purveyed in OBSERVE AND REPORT (dir. Jody Hill is the series' creator), one steeped in humiliation and general assholery. Like CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM though, this also relies heavily on one's tolerance for the protagonist's obnoxiousness in order to have lasting appeal.
Season One: six episodes across two discs.
Season Two: seven episodes across two discs.
Season Three: eight episodes across two discs.
Season Four: Episodes 22-29 Across two discs

2 stars (Good Try) S1 - Watchable if you can put up with the lead character. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) Very good cast, and occasionally hilarious, but a bit one-note and repetitive. I didn't make it through the first season... ~HiFi
