5 stars (Exceptional) My favorite Batman/superhero movie ever. The overall aesthetic is striking. Jack Nicholsen was born to play the Joker, and Michael Keaton is the best Bruce Wayne ever. To me, he is the only believable Batman. ~dr.strangelove
5 stars (Exceptional) A gritty Gotham City, dark and yet strangely punk-era comic, this is one of those fantasy worlds that sucks you in and doesn't let go (see also 'The Crow'). Nicholson is fantastic, providing both comic relief and unpredictable violent outbursts. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) Box-office smash-hit, revives the super-hero classic. Superb cast, and a dark surreal Gotham City makes the perfect back-drop for this thrill ride of a film where the Dark Knight takes on one very unforgettable clownishly homicidal Joker. ~GenXGirl
5 stars (Exceptional) Easily the best Batman film, as well as the best superhero film, ever. It boasts a wonderful visual style and score, Keaton as the best Bruce Wayne ever, and an incredible performance from Nicholsen. ~Wizzums
2 stars (Good Try) Has dated nearly 30 years on but the set designs are still worth it. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) If the script was up to the aesthetics and the acting, this would be a stone cold classic. I'll deduct a star for the story and another for the awful Prince soundtrack (I love Prince but he's a terrible fit here). ~Pearce
4 stars (Very Good) Classic, Batman is one of my favorite Batman movies, up there with Mask of The Phantasm, Batman Returns, The Dark Knight, and The New Batman Movie That has just came out ~Wyatt Earp
