Aroview: The second half of Quentin Tarantino’s revenge saga is an uneven but redeeming affair that brings closure to his magnum opus with more character and humour while filling in some of the blankness of its predecessor.
Picking up the background and action Stateside, Thurman's “The Bride” returns to mercilessly (and imaginatively) slay the three outlaws remaining on her hitlist - Michael Madsen, Darryl Hannah, and David Carradine (Bill himself). While self-indulgent to the max, and padded out with dialogue that doesn’t always fit the Bill (Carradine is more icon than actor), QT throws in enough plot hi-jinks and wacky inspiration to still separate him from his imitators.

4 stars (Very Good) A slightly more mature continuation of The Bride's quest for revenge, feeling at times like a separate film entirely, Tarantino pays homage to classic Westerns, Chinese martial arts, and modern-day superheroes to name but a few. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) The action abates a little when the story is in flashback but its never boring. Carradine is excellent and you wish that the relationship between Thurman and Hannah could carry on a bit longer. ~Tubbs
