Fifth Element, The (1997): The continuous action is above all entertaining. Some bizarre characters help & among the chaos, the performance of Milla Jovovich stood out. Some interesting special effects & design work played their part with the aerial street scenes a highlight.; DVD $14.95 | Blu-Ray $19.95
Ugly Dolls (2019): It should appeal to the young'uns.
Oh! What a Lovely War (1969): Amazingly it was the director's first film. Most of the cream of the British acting aristocracy were recruited, the set designs and artwork were outstanding, the satire heavy, and the great songs relevant to the period.
God's Own Country (2017): "We should have a night out in Bradford". File under 'Comedy'.
Knives Out (2019): The long–winded screenplay gets bogged down but the production values are fine and there is an excellent performance from Ana de Armas.
Same Time Next Year (1978): Alan Alda is not very good but Ellen does her bit very well.
Hard Candy (2005): Although the screenplay makes it point fairly early in the piece it carries on hammering it home at the risk of losing its effectiveness.
Female Jungle (1956): Being mainly shot in the dark complements the well–written story.
Don's Party (1976): It is showing its age 40 years on but it has retained some curiosity value.
Raising Arizona (1985): The Coens are very close to top form and the cast look to have a free reign to enjoy themselves. The soundtrack is perfect.
