Ring 2, The (2005)
Considering it is based on something that has been done before and also a sequel – it isn't too bad. Naomi helps in that regard.
Happy Hour (2002)
Its not great but worthwhile – it has a worthwhile message in the screenplay and the casting is good.
Thunderstruck (2004)
For obvious reasons the soundtrack is appealing but the young lads maybe not so much.
And Now Ladies and Gentlemen (2002)
A screenplay of two halves. The shorter first half, before he goes on the run, was better for me but the second half is also good. The very consistent Jeremy Irons anchors proceedings and the jazz score that runs most of its length worthy of purchase.
Vice (2018)
It is not that bad even though it is about a politician. At least it tries to be a bit different from other biopics in its presentation and style. There is a great cameo from Alfred Molina.
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1989)
It doesn't all work, but most people will find something in it to enjoy, and anyway it is hard to dislike.
Takers (2010)
It doesn't break any new ground.
Alfie (2004)
The problem with this Alfie character is that his life is so shallow and unproductive that it doesn't deserve sympathy or even attention. He doesn't bring anything to the table.
Two Women (1961)
As a personal drama experienced by the two lead characters, it is very effective. The shooting locations enhance the feel of the time and place.
Romeo and Juliet (1954)
Although I'm not an R & J fan this wasn't too boring and it was easy on the eye.
