Fermat's Room (La Habitación de Fermat) (2007): 3/5 – Original title: "La habitación de Fermat" – enjoy the puzzle solvings, the surprises, but don't be put off by the poor special effects.
Marshland (2014): 3/5 – Original title: "La isla mínima" – Highly engaging crime thriller.
Bullet Vanishes, The (2012): 2/5 – Original title: "Xiao shi de zi dan" – Unassuming and funny.
I'm Still Here (Ainda Estou Aqui) (2024): 4/5 – Excellent tapestry of this Carioca family on a background of military dictature.
Ratcatcher (1999): 3/5 – A bit surreal but very well filmed. Subtitles would help with the scottish accent.
Shooter, The (2013): 3/5 – – Original title: "Skytten" – Great subject. Groenland and the US oil companies topics have come back, making it very present–day theme.
