Crash Dive (1943)
Usual romantic padding as filler in between some watchable action sequences.
Human Stain, The (2003)
Hopkins and Kidman are not romantic role actors – they are much more talented than that. Ed Harris comes out best. The flashbacks don't help the continuity of the story telling.
Hollywoodland (2006)
The screenplay doesn't take off. Brody has done better elsewhere and Diane Lane and Bob Hoskins we could have had more of.
Hollywood Homicide (2003)
Its watchable but there is nothing memorable about it.
Female Agents (Les femmes de l'ombre) (2008)
Putting aside the Dirty "Dozen" scenario and the beauty pageant on show the screenplay is very unconvincing except for commercial purposes.
Allegiant (2016)
Some of the set designs and gadgetry look good but I would think this addition to the series will again satisfy action fans more than Sci– fi fans.
Two Lovers (2008)
Because nothing happens it needs patience but it is very well done.
Bastille Day (2016)
The first couple of scenes were the best – a nice twist to the story and then a chase over the rooftops – but routine after that.
Macbeth (2015)
Couldn't make out much of what was said so it was hard to maintain an interest. The slow motion throat cutting was objectionable and unnecessary. Nice landscape photography.
Wildflower (1991)
An interesting story with good performances from Arquette and Witherspoon.
