Kings Row (1942)
I thought Cummings was a bit wishy washy which didn't help my viewing as his was the main character on which the film depends. However there were some good performances from Ann Sheridan (she glows) & old hands Rains and Coburn. The black & white helps.
Gods of Egypt (2016)
The special effects are superb – as for the rest of it there is nothing to comment on.
Marguerite (2015)
A bit of an "Emperor's New Clothes" scenario. The screenplay, set designs and wardrobe are excellent but above all so is Catherine Frot in the title role – she gleams. Her supporting cast are fine but that is all they are as she is that good.
Love and Other Disasters (2007)
It really doesn't amount to much despite the useful cast.
Deep Web (2015)
Very good and interesting overall although some of the technological terminology was a bit complicated for those of us who used a quill at school. Must be a "Deep Web 2" considering the miscarriage of justice.
Prince Valiant (1954)
The best bits are in the early panoramic water scenes before the humans get involved – when they do there is plenty of rattling of tin as the knights joust and fight.
Failure to Launch (2006)
Its watchable because of the cast but what a waste of talent with this froth.
Punisher, The (2004)
Doesn't really add anything new to the violent action sub–genre.
Point Break (1991)
A good sky diving scene. The action scenes were well done but Keanu under done.
Passenger 57 (1993)
It has a laughable plot that stretches credibility.
