Death of a Gunfighter (1969)
The early scenes are fine but the story then weakens out before picking up again just before the end but then has a melodramatic ending.
Die Another Day (2002)
Follows the successful formula but delays bringing proceedings to a close until the obligatory two hour running time has passed. The scene with Q the highlight.
Jonah Hex (2010)
It doesn't quite work but Michael Fassbender's performance makes it worthwhile.
Chloe (2009)
Far Country, The (1954)
Some good location shooting. Although Brennan's voice grates after a few seconds its compensated by the good casting of Robert J. Wilke (my favourite bad guy) and Jack Elam.
Other Guys, The (2010)
Its a bit too silly to be funny. Samuel L Jackson hardly appears – wasted.
Murder By Numbers (2002)
Promising start but then distracted by Sandra B's character problems – it then doesn't do justice to that story line nor the main murder "mystery".
Goosebumps (2015)
The humans are flat but the film is saved by some excellent special effect creatures.
Crank (2006)
Reminded me of "Run, Lola, Run" (1998) for a few frames but then the flashy camera and editing plus the whooshing sound effects drags things back to the ordinary and get tiresome.
Broken Arrow (1950)
Good photography and a well intentioned screenplay that gets badly sidetracked with a silly romantic sub plot. Stewart is a goody goody as usual.
