Dinner in America (2020)
I think it misses the mark, but not by much and it does deserve credit for trying to be different.
Ill Manors (2012)
Excellent title. It does well to pull the threads of the several stories together (mostly succeeds) and the characters are believable but what it does best is the synchronised rap soundtrack.
Bedevilled (2010)
The killings were overviolent and could be laughed off but the wife beating was distasteful.
Yellow Sea, The (2010)
Overlong for the material which is mainly violent with little else.
Great Train Robbery, The (1978)
Entertaining throughout. Just sit back and admire the period details.
Sleepers (1996)
Admittedly courtroom scenes do tend to extend running times a bit but this one would have benefitted from being shorter. A good plot but one which would have had more impact when it was published in 1995.
Wind in the Willows, The (1983)
The characters are a delight.
Paddington Bear (TV Series) (1975)
A kiddie's classic.
Irma Vep (1996)
I don't think the screenplay quite worked in places but the plot idea was interesting enough and there were some good performances from the female members of the cast.
Last Tango in Paris (1972)
The screenplay isn't that interesting and although there is some good camera work the two hour running time is overlong.
