Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, The (2008): A good premise. Most interest is in how the German family relationships change. David Thewlis well cast.
Deliver Us from Evil (2014): Not too bad.
Rob Roy (1995): Tim Roth and John Hurt are in top form (say no more) and Jessica Lange and Brian Cox are the icing on the cake.
Angels And Demons (2009): Goes on for ever – this is a problem when trying to maintain suspense – Hanks doesn't have the ability to hold one's attention & McGregor who normally would is either miscast or misdirected.
State of the Union (1948): Light comedy that's well written with some aspects still relevant over 60 yrs later. A good supporting cast of character actors. The b & w photography is easy on the eye.
Demolition Man (1993): You know what you are going to get (and not get) with Stallone. Reasonable premise though.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The (2005): It was on a hiding to nothing after the book and the TV adaptation – a pretty good effort really.
After Hours (1985): The plot idea is fine but it didn't work as well for me this time several years after first viewing it.
Philomena (2013): Familiar story about a lost/stolen child. Coogan well cast as the irritant.; DVD ~~$19.95~~ $14.95
Dear Lemon Lima (2009): Refreshingly different.
