Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, The (2008)
A good premise. Most interest is in how the German family relationships change. David Thewlis well cast.
Deliver Us from Evil (2014)
Not too bad.
Rob Roy (1995)
Tim Roth and John Hurt are in top form (say no more) and Jessica Lange and Brian Cox are the icing on the cake.
Angels And Demons (2009)
Goes on for ever – this is a problem when trying to maintain suspense – Hanks doesn't have the ability to hold one's attention & McGregor who normally would is either miscast or misdirected.
State of the Union (1948)
Light comedy that's well written with some aspects still relevant over 60 yrs later. A good supporting cast of character actors. The b & w photography is easy on the eye.
Demolition Man (1993)
You know what you are going to get (and not get) with Stallone. Reasonable premise though.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The (2005)
It was on a hiding to nothing after the book and the TV adaptation – a pretty good effort really.
After Hours (1985)
The plot idea is fine but it didn't work as well for me this time several years after first viewing it.
Philomena (2013)
Familiar story about a lost/stolen child. Coogan well cast as the irritant.
Dear Lemon Lima (2009)
Refreshingly different.
