Savages (2012): There is plenty of violence but it loses its effectiveness long before the excessive running time expires along with many of the cast.
Juno (2007): Well written and even the smallest parts were well cast.
Ned Kelly (2003): A watchable no surprises screenplay but one that gets sidetracked at times. The very good casting helps.
Marwencol (2010): The documentary concentrates on one layer of Mark's personality – his art, and it does it intelligently – but there are other layers to the man it only touches upon.
Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down (Atame!) (1989): There is little substance in the screenplay and even less in the characters.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1998): Ryan Phillippe was annoying but otherwise, this is a pretty solid entry for its genre.; DVD $20
Accidental Hero (Hero) (1992): The screenplay is well written and is satirical but it loses much of its effect by being drawn out.
Dry, The (2020): Watchable but it was always hard to escape some contrivances in the screenplay.
Suspension (2008): Although it has an excellent plot idea it has one of those screenplays that hovers between a short and feature length. It doesn't quite last 95 mins but it does well all the same and deserves to be seen. There is good work by the special effects team.
MirrorMask (2005): I gave up trying to follow the plot and just relaxed and admired the creativity and the art/design work.
