Few Days in September, A
Aroview: Pre-September 11 spy-thriller dramatising events leading up to the fatal terrorist attack, with former spy (Binoche) being stalked through the gloomy streets of Europe by an assassin (a nicely deranged Turturro), with her estranged daughter and an American relative in tow.
Pivoting on Nick Nolte's little-seen character as a traitorous American high-official, this adds fuel to conspiracy theorists through its off-kilter noir narrative, while exploring with relish the terse Franco-American relations pre 9/11. Unusual, ambitious film puts a curious spin on the moody, espionage template set by John Le Carré.

0 star (Not rated) Clever but too slow. Seems a waste of an actress like Juliette Binoche ... or maybe she was just playing out of type. ~Davidicus
2 stars (Good Try) The screenplay didn't take off despite Binoche and Turturro. Nolte appeared briefly, but I couldn't work out a word he said. ~Tubbs
