Aroview: Retirement in sunbaked Spain is going nicely for mellowed-out ex-crim Ray Winstone, that is, until a poison-tongued Ben Kingsley turns up to ‘persuade’ him back to Blighty for one last job. Geographically this scarcely qualifies as Brit-crime, and indeed, like CROUPIER, displays a superior maturity, with great performances and considered visuals although eventually catering to genre expectations with a heist scene, albeit one you won’t have seen before.
