Aroview: A beguiling psychological thriller, in which a British mystery-novelist (Rampling) travels to her publisher's holiday house in rural France for a break, but finds provocation and conflict with his sexually-preoccupied young daughter.
Within the placid, sunlit confines of the summer-house setting, a strangely symbiotic relationship develops between them - and Rampling begins to write her unwanted companion into her latest novel... Seductively filmed, this accesses a shifting scenario similiar to Roman Polanski's films, with a similiar use of 'watery' symbols and undercurrents of sexual competition.

4 stars (Very Good) Very good; great acting. Great Luberon setting. Lightweight & diverting. ~Sandy
2 stars (Good Try) The screenplay doesn't rise to any great heights but Charlotte Rampling has a screen presence and is always worth watching. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) One of the best films in my collection - subtle, with a small cast and often surreally acted. Well worth the watch ~River
