Mexican, The (2000): The screenplay doesn't work overall and is too long as it struggles to find an ending. A very good supporting cast helps, however.
Turning Tide (2013): Another yachting drama. I found some relief by watching the waves even those inserted by the studio later.
Gold (2021): The makeup people do a good job. The screenplay is best seen with a bottle of water handy.
Only the Animals (Seules les bêtes) (2019): Bonnard's character (the one with the nose) just wasn't believable. Some segments of the sliced up screenplay were more watchable than others.; DVD $29.95
Ma Nuit Chez Maud (My Night at Maud's / My Night with Maud) (1969): A talkie but there are some street scenes that provide some relief.
Strange Brew (1983): Uneven but the pair is hard to dislike.
Survive Style 5+ (2004): I'm still not sure whether it is better to watch this sober or completely plastered.
Diamond 13 (2009): Depardieu provides some interest but the screenplay is not memorable.
Secret in Their Eyes, The (El Secreto de sus Ojos) (2009): Although the screenplay weakens slightly the first 90 minutes are strong with the highlight being the interaction between Soledad Villamil, Guillermo Francella, and the consistent Ricardo Darín.
A Home at the End of the World (2004): A bit too much hugging and kissing but it does have other segments that make it worthwhile.
