Black Sea (2014)
It loses a bit of suspense when the suspense is pre–ordained in the form of going under the sea & in a submarine. All submarine films are "suspenseful" & little should shock. The characters got annoying bickering and shouting at each other.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1989)
It just gets silly and well below Michael Caine's normal material. Glenne Headly however puts in a good performance.
Twin Peaks (1990)
Quite a strange film – even reading about the films background fails to explain the made for video ending. Still that's David Lynch – may he long continue to baffle.
Watcher, The (2000)
Standard plot but the story telling is not helped by flashy camera work and annoying sound effects – you know those ones that are used to make it more exciting.
Hollow Man (2000)
The special effects are extremely well done but the story which starts out well gets unnecessarily sleazy in parts & detracts from the Sci–fi.
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (1999)
A very good story which lends itself very well to animation. Highlight for me was the animated street scenes.
Deathgasm (2015)
Has done its best to have some original ideas in the proceedings – not an easy task when the genre is flooded – hasn't really succeeded in this but is watchable.
Man, The (2005)
I haven't seen much of Eugene Levy but he has a screen presence – he and Jackson work well together in this one but deserve better material.
Left Behind (2014)
The plot idea wasn't too bad (in part) but the highlight has to be the irony of casting Cage as a cool and calm character when everyone around him are collapsing in hysterical horror.A casting director with a sense of humour.
Talented Mr. Ripley, The (1999)
Thought the screenplay was a bit ordinary and as it goes on for ever it lacks suspense. Part of the deception relied on Damon and Law looking alike which they don't.
