Lobster, The
Synopsis: The director of DOGTOOTH returns with another decidedly offbeat satire. Set in the dystopian near future, single people, are obliged to find a romantic partner in forty-five days or are transformed into animals.
“Yorgos Lanthimos' first English-language feature is a wickedly funny, unexpectedly moving satire of couple-fixated society.”~Guy Lodge, Variety

4 stars (Very Good) Not for all tastes - like any true delicacy. A strange, coal-black comedy worthy of Bunuel, this deadpan look at a very cruel world shocks and resonates in most unexpected ways. The cast are pitch-perfect too. ~fairbrother
5 stars (Exceptional) A unique and strange view of love and companionship, told through the lens of a horrid and shocking black comedy. Nicely directed, with deadpan performances that don't feel dead. ~Sevenhead
