Aroview: Writer-director Jordan Peele follows up his zeitgeist sensation GET OUT with this expanded expression of the African-American experience as a horror thriller - the result is bracingly unusual but ultimately convoluted and less satisfying than its predecessor.
That said, there's plenty to enjoy for genre fans looking for slickly executed frights when chaos descends upon a middle-class family when they are terrorized by a group of mysterious doppelgängers.

5 stars (Exceptional) Another conspiracy-thriller masterpiece from Jordan Peele. More ambitious than Get Out, dipping into everything from duality to the savagery of human nature. ~Daggard
2 stars (Good Try) It has a good look to it but the screenplay is necessarily familiar because of its crowded horror genre. However, it is worth a watch because of the doppelgänger aspect. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) Starts off well enough but ultimately falls down in the final act. ~trauma_hound412
