- Mad Detective (2007)
- Incredibly creative. Awesome storytelling, which you really have to love as thats what the core of film is about.
- Night of the Creeps (1986)
- I couldn't really enjoy it, but you can't doubt that its a good movie even as a B.
- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)
- Good for Harry Potter fans! Bad for movie fans :(
- Akira (1989)
- What Tom said.
- Blu-Ray $39.95
- Metropolis (1984 Version) (1926)
- I can't stand this version.
- Metropolis (1926)
- You can't beat it.
- DVD $19.95 | Blu-Ray $19.95
- Let's Be Cops (2014)
- One of my guilty pleasures, gets less funny everytime...
- Sing Street (2016)
- One of my favourites to come out of 2016. The original soundtrack is awesome.
- DVD
$20 $15
- Blade Runner (1982)
- It will change you.
- Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
- One of those movies where you love the whole thing.
- Begin Again (2013)
- Carney is a poor man's Chazelle, and it proves not to be a bad thing.
- Superman 4 (Superman IV: The Quest for Peace) (1987)
- I enjoyed it, not sure if I watched this back in the day or not. Fun, funny, good characters, nothing really added to the old ones but nothing taken away. I found the villain to mildly fun if you look at it with a B–lens.
- Escape to Witch Mountain (1975)
- Classic and recommended to show to kids under ten as it is magic at that age.rn
- Return From Witch Mountain (1978)
- Doesn't deserve to be as good as it is seeing as it is a seventies Disney sequel.
- Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989)
- It's one of the only good Disney films that weren't supposed to be good.
- Cat O' Nine Tails (1971)
- Catchy score, quirky script with fun murders. The whole thing is a hoot.
- Apartment, The (1960)
- Wilder is a master of cinema. This is a classic! Brilliant writing. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
- Carrie (1976)
- Pioneering aspects of horror for the time this IS a classic horror film, and among the best Stephen King adaptations.
- Handmaiden, The (2016)
- Worth seeing all of Park's films and now TV, 'The Little Drummer Girl' is his project following this. One of the best director's working today.
- Blu-Ray $34.95
- Return to Oz (1985)
- One of those movies to rent for you kids if you want them to be disturbed for a week, so as to share that experience with others, would recommend.
- Lady Bird (Ladybird) (2017)
- It really is charming. Very simple too, but effective. Man did it make me feel.
- Raising Cain (1992)
- Classic De Palma. Not a classic though.
- 10 Rillington Place (1971)
- A lot of redeemable qualities and moments to cover up some weird executions (pun kind of intended).
- Charley Varrick (1973)
- Great look, great feel, flawless storytelling.
- Last Detail, The (1973)
- Very special. Jack Nicholson at his unbreakable high, give him a chance for this film at least man.
- Body Double (1984)
- I only get scared by De Palma these days and I wouldn't want it from any one else. Excellent thematic score by Pino Donaggio.
- Conversation, The (1974)
- Nice slow burn. Not this guy's 'Godfather' but still feels original.
- Predator (1987)
- Really awesome fun. Has to be at the pinnacle of this schlocky–type action film period.
- DVD
$15 $11.25
- Christine (1983)
- Worth seeing the lows that Carpenter can get to to appreciate the highs. Tone is weird, film unbelievable – in a terrible way.
- Anderson Tapes, The (1971)
- Sean Connery, you gotta love him, and I really liked how all the characters worked together, the dialogue was nice and there were complex dynamics around the whole group. Really awesome surprise to see Christopher Walken, and he was great.rnrnI'm a f
- Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)
- So much love in this picture. Chiodo brothers should've made at least one or two more movies. This is a master B–Flick.
- City Hunter (1994)
- The movie works, not perfectly, it took me a few minutes to get into it but I took it for what it was and by the end I was thoroughly entertained.
- King of Hearts (1967)
- Nutty. Not in a bad way. This film is sure to garner mixed feelings so give it a shot and you may fall in love.
- Slither (2006)
- I thought the horror elements to this film were gross out to hell and back. So many out loud "eww" moments. The practical effects were great. That bath scene was excellent, gore was done very well.
- Police Story (1985)
- What shape this man was in and stunts this man could do! Bravo. Performances are what you'd expect of Hong Kong pictures of this era, they're better performances than all the Shaw pictures I've seen.
- Police Story 2 (1988)
- Not as amazing in terms of action as the first, and the set pieces less impressive. There was a more cutthroat quality to the consequences of fighting however, and a more serious tone to boot.
- Ghost World (2001)
- I would love to have a great long conversation with someone about this movie. It's one that I want to understand but I'm too stupid to get it on my own. I think there were a lot of questions that I am now left with at the end of this (not a bad thing).
- Serpico (1973)
- Lumet really knocked it out the bloody park. Constantly compelling story of a cop who was the most honest of all.
- Edvard Munch (1974)
- This is so amazing really. The scale. The editing. Super complex. Like the epics of 'Ulysses' I'm sure, where in depth analysis is required to truly understand.
- Pork Pie (2017)
- Boring. I'm not always serious about boringness and stuff but seeing as it's a New Zealand remake you gotta try to keep expectations good because of Taika Waititi and reputation and stuff.
- Videodrome (1983)
- Really cool but a bit of a let down, its surely deserving of its cult status. The ideas it presented and straight up philosophy behind characters was sweet as.
- Street Trash (1987)
- Really awesome schlock that. Expert. Every sequence was B–perfect.
- Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974)
- Easily cool. Neo–noir/western deal.
- Superbad (2007)
- "I've never before seen that in my life!"rnrnOne of the best comedies of the naughties, certainly the best out of the trashy onslaught of the Seth Rogen type deal.
- Prince of Darkness (1987)
- Awesome. I found it constantly engaging, not a dull moment. I was super invested, which was weird – I can tell you this much: the director has done much worse.
